you have not specified whether in AC system or A DC...but any ways

general approach is

A ground is the point which is specified as null potential point connected to body/chasis of equipment while Negative terminal is the low potential terminal used as reference for positive terminal and all currents will be returns thru the negative point to complete the circuit as per kirchoff's law.

thanks.

What An electronic circuit is?

An electronic circuit is a network of interconnected electronic components composed of one or more loops coupled that is designed to perform some useful function. The major difference between an electronic circuit and an electrical circuit is that the electronic circuit contains active components that can amplify and/or switch signals and/or nonlinear components that modify signal shapes, while electrical circuits contain only passive linear components in most cases.

What happens in a battery's negative terminal when it is not part of a circuit?

When a battery's negative terminal is not connected to a circuit, it accumulates excess electrons, creating a negative charge. This creates a potential difference between the positive and negative terminals, which is the driving force for the flow of electric current when the battery is connected to a circuit.

Because , in some cases for a negative voltage the circuit components will be biased .

What is the difference between a circuit board and an intergrated circuit?

A cicuit board is a board made of plastic and metal interconnections where the various electronic devices are assembled in discrete form to make up the circuit. In an integrated circuit a semiconductor chip is so processed such that the various electronic devices and components are directly grown on it.

Where is a voltmeter connected in a circuit?

Volt Meter is used to find the potential difference which is between the +ve or negative or between a Phase and Neutral etc. As it measure the potential difference, we need to connect in parallel which are tje extreme point of circuit starts and close, I mean completes.

How is LED different from lamp?

similarity between lamp and LED- lamp in simple current is used to show that current is flowing and LED performs the same task but in electronic circuit .difference between lamp and LED-lamp in simple current is used to show that current is flowing and LED performs the same task more efficiently but in electronic circuit . so LED works more efficiently in electronic circuit than lamp which performs task in simple circuit.

What is the difference between an electronic device and an electronic circuit?

An electronic circuit is one or more loops around which electrical current can flow as it passes through one or more electronic components. An electronic device is any device designed to perform a specific useful function that is implemented largely using electronic circuits.Note: it is possible to design and build an electronic circuit that does nothing useful, it is not possible to design and build an electronic device that does nothing useful (the very reason for designing and building electronic devices is to create a thing having a useful function).
