Is Iron (III) oxide molecular or ionic?

No. Iron III oxide is an ionic compound. This is due to the large difference in electronegativity between oxygen and iron. If the electronegativity difference is greater than 2.0 a compound is generally ionic. The difference between iron and oxygen is 2.61.

What is the difference between monoxide and oxide?

They both involve oxygen atoms bonded to other atoms. "Monoxide" means there's one oxygen atom there. "Oxide" means there could be any number.

What is the difference between oxide and dioxide?

An oxide is a chemical compound containing at least one oxygen atom. A dioxide is a chemical compound composed of two oxygen atoms covalently bonded to a single atom.

What is the difference between magnesium oxide and magnesium?

The difference is magnesium oxide contains oxide ions ,whereas aluminium oxide doesn't.

What is the difference between nitric oxide and whip its nitric?

At the simplest level: Nitric Oxide is 1 Nitrogen atom and 1 Oxygen atom that make up the NO molecule. Nitrous Oxide is 2 Nitrogen atoms and 1 Oxygen atom that make up the N2O molecule.

What causes the difference between the oxygen that is inhaled in the body and the oxygen that is exhaled out of the body?

When you inhale the oxygen, it enters to alveoli, end point of respiratory tract. Here oxygen enters the blood because of difference in concentration gradient. Carbon bi oxide goes inreversedirection. Again due to concentration gradient. So air going in lungs is rich in oxygen becomes less and replaced by carbon bi oxide. This oxygen isnecessaryforoxidation processes and carbon bi oxide is end product of oxidation processes.

What is the difference between oxide and carbon?

Carbon is an element. Oxide is a negative ion formed by oxygen or may refer to various oxygen compounds. Carbon is necessary for organisms to exist, making up organic chemistry. See the related links for more details.
