A paradox is a disagreement between two people who may both be correct. We live with it. According to the theory or relativity nothing moves faster than the speed of light. A study indicated that an electron was spinning faster than the speed of light. That was a paradox. There is probably an explanation either with one theory or with a measurement. For now we live with it.

A contradiction occurs when one person says the car came from the east. Another person said the car came from the west. One person contradicted the other. When the cop came and took measurements. He figured out which one lied.

A paradox is a statement or situation that seems contradictory or absurd but may actually reveal a deeper truth or be logically plausible. On the other hand, a contradiction is a direct opposition between two ideas or statements that cannot both be true at the same time. In essence, a paradox presents a seeming contradiction that may hold truth, while a contradiction is a clear inconsistency.

Can you have another example of paradox please?

One example of a paradox is the famous "liar paradox," which states: "This statement is false." This paradox highlights the complexity and ambiguity that can arise from self-referential statements.

If, by paradox, you mean a logical self-contradiction, the answer is NO, it is not a paradox. Its physical existence proves that it cannot be self-contradictory. However, if you mean something that is contary to received opinion but may yet be true, the answer is YES.

In the words, "this holy crime," Antigone expresses a paradox (a contradiction that contains truth). What is the truth expressed in this paradox?
