PEX is an American company that specializes in tools for the Plumbing trade. Those their tools are of a high quality, they are only one of many different tool making companies available.
Pex tools may be bought from the retailer Amazon, or from the Pex tool site: Pex Supply which offers a greater variety of Pex tools needed to make Pex connections, hook up manifolds, cut and uncoil tubing and other functions.
The PEX company manufactures Radiant Heating Accessories. They specialize in tubing, as well as heat transfer plates, tools, staple guns and fittings.
The copper should fit in the Pex fitting. My mistake, Pex uses the crimp rings. There is a coupling and other fitting that you just push the pipe into and it grabs and seal the pipe. Pex, pvc, copper, all will fit. Just use a coupling between the copper and the pex. I had my doubts the first time I used this, but it does work and doesn't leak. Just make sure that the pipe bottoms out in the connection.
PEX Plumbing offers PEX - A, PEX - B, and PEX - C tubing. PEX -A is the most expensive out of the three. PEX - B is the most affordable out of the three. Lastly, PEX - C is the cheapest out of the three.
No, you'll need to put a pipe adapter on the PVC, then use a standard PEX crimp fitting. Or you can use a SharkBite fitting. They work well for this.
There are several brands of PEX and several systems to install the pipe. Each has its own tools and methods, and training required. I use the aquapex with expansion rings but have also used the other brands.

At what temp does pex pipe freeze
Goop will appear to glue PEX piping, but will separate as soon as water pressure is applied. -The only way to join PEX properly is a PEX coupling, or a Sharkbite.
Pex fittings are used for making connections in PEX plumbing applications. Professiomnal plubmers used next type of PEX fittings: Crimp fittings, Clamp fittings, Push Up fittings, Sharkbite fittings and others.
The major cost is material which in the case of pex is not that much. labor can be different, depending on the layout. this question is a little too general but I like a home run system just for the fact that you can have a centeral manifold with individal shut offs where the system acn be easily isolated for future repairs
The question is not precisely correct. Zurn PEX and Wirsbo (now Uponor) PEX are two different products. Zurn is PEX-b tubing and is manufactured using silane method of cross-linking. It utilizes a crimp connection method and is compatible with majority of the order brands, such as Box, Everhot, Viega, Watts, etc. Wirsbo is PEX-a and is manufactured using engel method of cross-linking. It utilizes an expansion connection method and is compatible only with Mr. PEX and Rehau brands.
