In procaryotes there will be no true membrane bound nucleus (nucleolus) and Chromosomes are circular form. In Procaryotes contains 70s ribosomes.
In Eucaryotes true membrane is present around nucleus, and contains more than one chromosome which are linear. In Eucaryotes ribosomes are 80s .
In Eucaryotes Mitochondria, Golgi Apparatus, Chloroplasts, Endoplasmic Reticulam, Lysosomes are present . But those are absent in Procaryotes.
Prokaryotes lack an organized nucleus and other membrane-bound organelles.
Single prokaryotic DNA is found in a central part of the cell called the nucleoid.
The cell wall of a prokaryote acts as an extra layer of protection, helps maintain cell shape, and prevents dehydration.
Prokaryotic cell size ranges from 0.1 to 5.0 μm in diameter.
The small size of prokaryotes allows quick entry and diffusion of ions and molecules to other parts of the cell while also allowing fast removal of waste products out of the cell. They are only single celled.
Both cells have cell membranes, genetic material & ribosomes in COMMON.Eukaryotes have membrane bound organelles.
They are much larger to hold these organelles and are about ten times larger.
They have more than one chromosome found in the nucleus.
They are often are multicellular.
They have peroxisomes and lysosomes.
They have at least one mitochondria
And they have larger ribosomes.
A prokaryote is not one of the 3 domains. it is part of two domains which are bacteria and archea. A eukaryote is part of the 3 domains. A prokaryote does not have a nucleaus and a eukaryote does. This information was from my science teacher Mr. Dale Chiampa so thank hm for woever asked this question.
You will find nucleic acid in both prokaryote and eukaryote cells.
a singe celled is a prokaryote and multi celled is a eukaryote
Chromosomes of eukaryotes are composed of DNA and protein. Chromosomes of prokaryotes have DNA only.
Eukaryote
What's the difference between eukaryote and prokaryote and animals and plants ?
one difference is that a eukaryote has a nucleus whereas a prokaryote doesnt have a nucleus
The biggest difference between a prokaryote and a eukaryote is the presence of a true-nucleus. Prokaryote does not contain a membrane-bound nucleus and has its DNA suspended in nucleoid region. Eukaryotes do have its nucleus surrounded by a nuclear membrane.
There are about eleven differences between a prokaryote and eukaryote. The most basic difference is that the eukaryote have "true" nuclei containing their DNA, but genetic areas in a prokaryote isn't membrane-bound. If you need more differences between a prokaryote and eukaryote, ask me on my message-board.
bacteria is a prokaryote while algae is a eukaryote
Prokaryote cells only have one cell, as Eukaryote cells have more than one.

cell is just a general term. plant cells have large vacuoles, rigid cell wall, and a square shape. eukaryote cells have a nucleus, whereas a prokaryote does not.
