What is the difference between roots suffixes and prefixes in medical terminology?

Prefix = coming in first
Root = everything that related to the body
Suffix= coming at end
But that i don't know is sometime when i searching i find that prefix words is mixed with roots for example (Hemat) it should be root as i know but i find it in prefix lists in drifferent web-sites ....
