∙ 16y agoEquator is the imaginary circle drawn at 0 degree latitude.Which would cut the spherical earth into exactly two halves.But the axis is the imaginary straight line drawn through the geographic north and south poles.Imagine if you have to walk upon the equator you have to circumscribe the earth.But if you have tnm walk along the axis then you have to dig the earth from north and come out at south.
