Simple present has only one verb
in present tense. eg
I walk
to work.
Present simple is used to talk about some thing we do again and again = a habit.
I have
toast for breakfast.
Or something that is true now:
I live
in London.
Or something that is always true:
The sun rises
in the east.
Present continuous has two verbs a present tense
be verb + a present participle:
is walking, am listening, are going
Present continuous is used to talk about something that is happening now:
I am using
my computer.
Or something that is happening around now (maybe not right now):
She is reading
a good book.
Or something that is happening in the future:
We are going
to the beach tomorrow.
