Torah is the first 5 books in Bible, written by Moses. Torah is Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy. The Torah, which means 'Teachings', is the first section of the Jewish Bible which is called the Tanach.
The Old Testament was based on the Tanach, however, it was altered to support the teachings of Christianity. Changes to the text consist of word changes, grammar changes, addition of texts, and a change in the order of books. One of the most glaring changes to the OT was that Daniel was turned into a prophet where he isn't one in the Tanach. The Old Testament is the first half of the Christian Bible.
The Torah is the book with the commandments and history.
The Talmud is the book that talks about why we do things, is that the correct way to do it, and so on.
Jewish tradition states that the Torah was given by God (Exodus 24:12) and written by Moses in his lifetime (Deuteronomy 31:24). Similarly, the rest of the Tanakh (Jewish Bible) is books of prophecy, each of which was written by the prophet whose name it bears. The Tanakh was handed down with the utmost care that it not be altered.
The Talmud is the Oral Torah, which for some 1800 years was handed down verbally by the Sages. It was permitted to add to the Talmud, such as the stories it contains about the lives of the various Sages. The function of the Talmud is to clarify the Torah, to comment on it and to specify the halakha (law) when the Torah does not.
The Hebrew Bible is more or less the same as the Protestant Bible. The Catholic Bible contains additional books known as the apocrypha, as well as some late additions to certain books, most notably the Book of Esther. A further minor difference is that the Christian Bible, following the precedent of the Septuagint, divides the Books of Samuel, Kings and Chronicles into two parts each (1 and 2 Samuel, etc.). The Hebrew Bible has the minor prophets in a single Book, whereas the Christian Bible has a separate book for each.
Although the Jewish and Christian Bible texts are almost literally the same, the way the books are traditionally interpreted is often quite widely different.
The Bible is the Christian text. It includes the Jewish books in translation, as well as later books.
The Jewish books constitute the Tanakh, which includes: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, Samuel, Kings, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, the Twelve Minor Prophets (Hosea, Joel, etc.), Psalms, Proverbs, Job, Song of Songs, Ruth, Lamentations, Ecclesiastes, Esther, Daniel, Ezra & Nehemiah, and Chronicles (all only in the original Hebrew).
The first five (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy) are the five books that make up the Torah.
