Thrust is the amount of force exerted by an engine on the object resulting in acceleration.

force = mass * acceleration

directing thrust in a direction so the object travels upward or directly opposing gravity is upthrust.

weight is how much an object with mass feels gravity a mass of x on earth will feel y newtons of force that is y=x*9.8 where 9.8m/s is the gravity of earth. the same object on the moon still has x mass but now only produces Y=x*1.62 of downward force

so to lift an object off the ground one needs upthrust=mass of object * gravity + acceleration of motion for movement

Difference between gravity and upthrust?

Thrust is the quantity of force acted by a type of engine on an object which results in acceleration.

Is there a difference between upthrust on the moon and the earth?

It will be affected by gravity. Gravity is stronger on Earth, so it takes more energy or thrust to raise something like a rocket.

What is the difference between thrust and upthrust?

Thrust is the only perpendicular force but upthrust is the force which act on a body when is in drown vessel

What Are Forces Involved in Launching A rocket?

Thrust, gravity and upthrust help launch a rocket.

What forces are involved when a rocket launches?

I know one of them is Thrust. One is gravity. Another is upthrust.

What is the difference between an artesian spring and other spring?

The difference is that they are thrust up. They are not moving downhill because of gravity.

How does upthrust depend on accleration due to gravity?

it depends on acceleration due to gravity as f=mg, when acceleration due to gravity increases the force acting also increases.when force acting increases it cancels the upward thrust(buoyant force)so the body sinks in the liquid.

What is up thrust?

upthrust is a force which helps objects on water or in air to not drop or sink

Is thrust the force non-contact or contact?

Thrust is a contact force as it needs a force to push it,when you are in a plane, upthrust is in contact with you to keep you up in the sky.
