A traditional approach, also known as structured system development, includes many variations which aim to develop information using structured and modular programming. On the other hand, an object oriented approach looks at the information system as a collection of objects that work together to accomplish a task.

Well, there's not really a "traditional" programming style. We normally break them down into "Procedural", "Functional", and "Object Oriented," with most languages having aspects of one or more of these. I'm going to assume you meant "Procedural". Procedural languages tend to be built around the operations upon data structures. Examples include C and Pascal. Object Oriented languages are built around the data, with the operations that manipulate the data part of the data definition. Examples include C++, C#, and Java.
