i think a trans flap and a tram flap are one and the same thing. Tram stands for transverse rectus abdominis myocutaneous flap] and trans is just a shortening of the first word transverse. That's what i think anyway. It just seems to make sense.

MY ANSWER: The aileron is on the far end of the wing while the flap is on the inside of the wing. now you might think that these 2 are similar but in ways they arent.
