Angel Food cake contains NO fat or leavening agents, It is essentially a meringue-egg whites and sugar , with cream of tartar for added stability, whipped to stiff peaks. Flour is folded into the meringue to help maintain the volume of the whites.

Chiffon Cake, is hevier, made with oil. The basic recipe calls for flour, eggyolks, and stiffly beaten eggwhites. Baking powder provides a boost of leavening.

Although both are foam cakes, the chiffon cake contains vegetable oil whereas the angel food cake does not contain any form of oil at all.

A white cake is a regular Vanilla flavored cake. Angel Food is mostly egg whites with a little bit of flour. Much different textures.
