What is the difference between wife and girlfriend?

Logical ANSWERa wife/ husband- is a person that is legal binded to you until the end of the marriage.

a girl/boyfirend- is not legally binded to you in any way.

a spouse would be a girl/boyfriend that is willing and commented themselves to being with you for a long time. traditionally people would consider getting married when they wanted to have children. However all in all, the only reason difference now between the two is legal and financal.

OK, so the difference i have to say is quite big, so im gonna list these differences.

1. Marriage is all about being committed to love the person you are with forever (well you attempt to) where as a girlfriend you have the choice to end the relationship without the paper work depending on the type of relationship with you and the girlfriend.

2. To have a wife means to have a women to love and cherish for a life time, presuming your marriage continues to stay strong, and presuming you and the wife live together you should be paying your bills and tax's together. A girlfriend has the choice to live with you or not and to help you pay your house bills or not.

3. As husband and wife you will face situations in your lives where it requires you two to work as a team to get past obstacles you may face, where as with your girlfriend you may not, you maybe still will faces problems together because after all you are still classified as a couple.

4. Big one, in a marriage your relationship is to be considered to be more serious where as just a boyfriend girlfriend relationship is not as so, but can still be.

5. Your likely to be cheated on early in your relationship as just a boyfriend and girlfriend because your relationship status is once again not considered as so serious compared to a married couples relationship, there is (sadly) that chance where maybe give it minimum a few years where one of the married pair whether it is the husband or wife, they may cheat.

This is a very difficult topic and i could maybe go on to 1000 more, but this is just some areas i have covered, if you want more info just ask for more its no problem, hope i have given you a more clearer picture, but i do need to say, most successful boyfriend/girlfriend relationships end up becoming married relationships anyways :)
