Borax and flour are both white powders, but are very different!

Borax is a natural mineral with a chemical formula Na2B4O7 • 10H2O. It is used as a cleaning agent, either in laundry detergent, or household cleaners. There is debate on the safety of ingesting borax, but it is something you would want to avoid eating.

Flour is made by grinding grains, beans, seeds, or roots and is the primary ingredient used in making bread. Flour is absolutely safe to eat, and is found in many different foods!
