Ultrabooks usually have less than a 12inch LCD screen and focus primarily on substantial battery life. Therefore, they don't have the same CPU or processing power of a full laptop but can last much longer (sometimes up to 12 hours) on a single charge.
Notebook, Ultrabook, Netbook.....
An Ultrabook is basically a wafer thin laptop. They tend to be very powerful for its size this making it very expensive also. Laptops tend to be cheaper even if it has a better specification than the ultrabook as an ultrabook tends to be so thin and light weight. I your looking to buy a Laptop or Ultrabook think about what you want the Equipment for. For example if your looking for a laptop/ultrabook at £800.00 Ultrabook pros/cons - More lightweight/ thin Less powerful Laptop pros/cons - More powerful More weight/ thicker This basically shows that if you want a Portable PC that is easy to carry around with you, this being if you want to take it to work every day and you wont be using huge software's go for the Ultrabook. If you want a Portable PC that you won't be taking everywhere all the time and you want it to be powerful for huge softwares/gaming go for the Laptop as they tend to have a bigger screen size and better quality hardware for the money. Oh, and by the way, if you love gaming and still have a job where you need a Portable PC every day go for the Laptop as they always have better Video cards, RAM and CPU if buying at the same price.
