The difference in preice between a song HDTV and a panasonic HDTV is around one hundred dollars. Sony usually runs a little higher because of their higher reputation.
Panasonic has some good quality HDTV's with really good picture quality. The TC-PUT50 series is also pretty cheap compared to other HDTV's as well. They go for about $950 at the lowest price.
