The Catholic faith was started by Our Blessed Lord, Jesus Christ, on the Apostles, with Peter, and his successors at its head to lead people to God. Peter's successors (the Popes) and the successors to the apostles (the Bishops) have been leading the Catholic Church ever since. Our Blessed Lord guaranteed it and send the Holy Spirit to guide it until the end of the world.

Covenant faith is yet another of the over 30,000 "Christian" denominations which have been started by various people over the last four hundred years which purport to follow Jesus, while completely ignoring Him in His Church.
