What is the difference of the flags and the shiny thing on Super Smash Bros Brawl on story mode?

Flags mean you have finished the level but some secrets and other what not have yet to be obtained, the shiny thing is a crown which represents you have completely finished that level you found all the secrets and other what not for that level.

Go back and complete the stages that have green flags on them. Those are the ones that still have neat trophies and stickers in hidden rooms. Check walkthroughs to find the hidden rooms and make sure you don't get totally killed otherwise you lose everything. I guarantee that if you get everything from the hidden rooms and finish the stage the green flag will be gone and your percentage will go higher. I completed 100% on Subspace Emissary doing that so you need to get 100% for the game to be officially completed.
