It is approx. 236-267 1/2 (see end NOTE) miles taking this route:
NOTE: This road is rather treacherous, as it has high altitudes, steep gradients and sharp, hairpin turns. It is not advised for learner drivers, very large vehicles, or caravans. It is also normally impassible in wintry conditions. This does not mean that this road is unusable; rather, it means that one must use caution while driving on it.
In addition, this road beholds some of the best scenery in Scotland.
If conditions are not suitable, however, you could, as an alternate route, follow the low-level Coastal Route to Applecross, via SHELDAIG - KENMORE - APPLECROSS ROAD (continuing straight on A896). This adds about 31 1/2 miles, so it would actually be 267 1/2 miles if the alternative, low-lying, coastal bypass route is taken. The scenery is still decent on this route, but probably not half as good as if you would take Bealach Na Bà.
