Pesticides are designed to kill of as many insects as possible; they´re poison in the truest sense of the word. Other animals may die too if they eat from it, or the insects that have or are about to die of it. And as pesticides are sprayed over our crops, we too may ingest them if we don´t wash our food thouroughly, and even then it might be too much to wash off.

Luckily chemical pesticides are being replaced by biological control such as natural enemies to ward off pests.

They are designed for insects except rodenticide. There is a possibility of secondary poisoning in the event another mammal eats a poisoned rodent, but it would have to be small to be harmed.
