you make a catapult!
A mangonel is a catapult, not a bridge.
catapult ammo can be anything from cows, to boulders.
There are more but these are just a few: Aircraft Catapult, Slingshot Catapult, and an Onager Catapult.
Yes, it is a catapult. Just like a mangonel but not a trebuchet.
Commander Colin C. Mitchell of the Royal Naval Reserve. In 1954, he suggested taking steam from the ship's main boiler to power the aircraft catapult.
boiler efficiency is how much water is converting to steam.
The steam turbine will produce 400 J of output, and the steam engine 250 J. That's what the efficiency figure means.
That the efficiency of a Steam Engine could be improved by condensing the exhaust steam.
how to calculate the vapour absorption mechine efficiency and per TR steam consumption
James Watt
Catapult can work in different ways. The most common catapult we think of to day is the steam catapult used on aircraft carriers. The steam isallowed to build up pressure and released when the pressure is high enough to move the weight of the plane. This pressure release pushes on a piston much like a cars. that piston is pushed down a shaft till the end of that shaft. the counter reaction is the plane moving in the other direction. Newtons law works once again. MKS
A kenotometer is an instrument used in steam turbine condensers to measure the vacuum in the steam space of the condenser. The vacuum achieved by the condenser has significant influence on the efficiency of the steam turbine.
Boiler efficiency is calculated by determining the steam value per hour and dividing it by the amount of fuel which is consumed per hour. By doing this one can determine the efficiency of a boiler.
A modern combined cycle gas turbine/ steam turbine power plant can reach almost 60% efficiency.
in practice;the steam MUST be in the superheated region before entering the turbine.superheated steam means there is not moister in the steam (dry steam)the reason is moister will damage the turbine blades.in theory;the hotter the temperature the better the efficiency (look up vapor power cycles)work done by the turbine = the enthalpy (at temp. of steam entering the turbine)- the enthalpy at the turbine exist.the efficiency = work done by the turbine / the heat input.
by calculating the inlet steam enthalpy-outlet steam enthalpy we will know the total kcal consumed for output mw required kcal for 1 kwh=860 now campare this with your turbine kcal for 1kwh now you came to know how much is your turbine efficiency................................................................................
