Electrical energy is converted to heat in the heating element. It is also converted to magnetic energy in the motor, which is converted into mechanical energy (and turns the drum). If it is a gas dryer, chemical energy is turned to heat at the burner.

the clothes that you wear all day have gotten sun, lint, sweat and what ever then when you wash it, you get the washing detergent then when you put it in the dryer all the charged particles mix together and create an electric charge called static. Then when you take it out of the dryer the clothes with the static charge come out and shock you!

A clothes dryer uses about 4 kilowatts of power when on. To determine how much energy it uses, multiply the time it is on in hours by the power in kilowatts. For example running a typical dryer for one hour uses 4 kilowatt hours of energy, running it for 30 minutes uses 2 kilowatt hours.
