Despite popular belief, most recent evidence suggests Sauropod dinosaurs likely couldn't exceed 100 years. In fact, the oldest known sauropod that scientists were able to properly age was a very large Apatosaurus specimen that was only 48 years old when it died. Almost all other Sauropods that have been aged have been found to be younger than this Apatosaurus, so century long lifespans seems very unlikely.
Instead, an average lifespan might be somewhere in their 40's or early 50's, although I could imagine some larger species of Sauropod reaching fairly old ages of 60 or even 70 if the conditions were correct.
Yes. The time which included the dinosaurs is known as the "Mesozoic Era," which means "the time of Middle Life," distinguishing it from the "Paleozoic" or Ancient Life and the "Cenozoic" or Recent Life, which is the Era in which we live. The Mesozoic has three Periods, called the Triassic, the Jurassic and the Cretaceous. During the first, the Triassic, dinosaurs were mostly small and were in tight competition with the ancestors of the mammals. By the Jurassic, the dinosaurs had "won" and grown in some cases huge (there are always smaller versions) while the mammals were forced into the margins and remained tiny.
There are no living direct ancestors of dinosaurs, but dinosaurs are a branch of reptilian life which are abundant today.
It may mean nothing more than that you have seen a movie or read an article about dinosaurs. Alternatively, depending on the tone of the dream, the dinosaurs might symbolize huge issue in your life that you feel are beyond your capacity to resolve. There is also a sense that the issues in this dream originated far in the past and have no reason to cause problems now.
according to scientifical studies there is no recording of life on the moon , including dinosaurs
Palaeontology is the study of prehistoric life, including dinosaurs.
The estimated battery life for this Sony laptop is estimated at 2 hours.
No . shamefully dinosaurs were extinct billions of years ago But there are relatives of the dinosaurs like birds and crocodiles
No.
dinosaurs.
There was much more food back then, so they ate more and grew. Not all dinosaurs were huge. Many were quite small. It is believed that during the Mesozoic, earth was at its highest point of life sustaining ability. The high oxygen levels allowed truly massive animals to evolve.
It's a matter of perspective. If you compare the Age of Dinosaurs (225 - 65 mya) to the Age of Man (35 ky) it's huge, but in comparison to Life on Earth (3.5 by) it's only a brief period. In other words, judged by everything mankind has done or been, dinosaurs are part of the very ancient past, but in light of all that's happened on Earth, dinosaurs are practically modern!
The Eras go like this: Precambrian Era Paleozoic Era Mesozoic Era Cenozoic Era Dinosaurs lived during the Mesozoic Era, and we live in the Cenozoic Era. Paleozoic means "ancient life" Mesozoic means "middle life" Cenozoic means "recent life" All eras end in a huge disaster
