With proper maintence from day one, 300,000 miles is not out of the question. mine is at 240,000 and the engine has been beat for most of its life. leaks a half quart between oil changes, probably put in new gaskets soon. but the rest of the truck is solid
500,000 miles
you may have changed the tire size which will give you incorrect mileage hence causing an erroneous gas mileage reading.
SAE 10w30 high mileage oil. Most major brands maker a high mileage oil. I personally use Pennzoil in my Toyota Tacoma with 130,000 miles on the ODO.
high price for that carthat is way high price for that car,you can buy a new Toyota,Nissan,or Hyundai for not much more and will have warranty If you are looking for gas mileage and reliability and an allround good car, go Toyota or Honda.
A good used Toyota Camry with high mileage and a maintenance record.
excessively high mileage
High gear must be ground out, prob needs new transmission
No, you don't. Just buy oil from Toyota dealer and you will be fine. It's relatively cheap and works great with Camry engines. You do not have to buy oil from your Toyota dealer and pay a premium price. Toyota does not make oil and you are buying nothing more than some name brand oil with a Toyota label on the bottle. Purchase a name brand oil of your choice of the correct weight at the place with the best price. Do you need high mileage oil? If the engine has over 100,000 miles on the odometer, then High Mileage oil can be of benefit and for sure will do no harm.
If this vehicle has high mileage I would start with the plug\wires and oxygen sensors. These would all affect fuel mileage on higher mileage vehicles. Hope this helps you.
SAE 5w30 any major brand of High Mileage oil.
I would use 10w30 and for high mileage 10w40 would work best
It will take longer to warm up, it will prob never get up to temp when its cool, it wont cool as well at high speeds like on the freeway, your gas mileage will go down a little, and you have little to no heat, but it will run.
