from factory they offered a Pontiac 400 w/ 4-speed or the Olds 403. 301 was also available.
That depends on what motor, the 400 or the 455. The Olds 400's were painted a copper-bronze metallic and the 455's were painted a blue metallic or red on certain models before 1970.
No The Olds 350 was painted gold from 1968 to 1974. The air cleaner had Rocket on it.

I think it s about 230, I know my 1970 has 250 and it s a 350-2 barl.

4.6 quarts is the factory-listed crankcase capacity. 10W30 is the recommended weight for almost all climates.
The factory made the Olds Alero do that, I have a 2001 Olds Alero and it does the same thing. It's just a factory thing that they have done to the car.
