well what r u lookin to acomplish?? Drag car, circuit car, daily driver...?? Wide range of engines available for civics. not to sure what is needed for newer civics, but u got your standard 1.5L sohc, or 1.7L sohc...... Other civics got 1.6L sohc v-tec's, 1.8L sohc v-tec, K20Dohc v-tec, GSR Dohc, K22 Dohc V-tec........ SO depending on what u want to have for power your best bet would probably be a K20 or like a 1.8L both good base engines too make great potential power.
