The sailfish it can swim up to 68 mph
fastest mammal, cheetah fastest bird, falcon fastest fish, swordfish
The fastest known species of fish is the Atlantic Sailfish (Istiophorus albicans) at 68 mph but is closely followed by the Indo-Pacific Sailfish (Istiophorus platypterus).
The fastest thing on the ocean would be a speed boat. The fastest fish in the ocean is debatable the sailfish has been clocked at 70 mph, and the black marlin has been clocked at speeds of 80 mph. In special cases certain fish may swim faster or slower, and who can say if those fish that were recorded were swimming their fastest. One thing is for sure, the fastest fish in the ocean, is definitely in the Istiophoridae (billfish) family.
The fastest fresh water animals are rainbow trout but the Pike fish seems to be faster, reaching 20 miles per hour.
no, the fastest animal in the world is a peregrine falcon in a vertical dive. it can reach speeds of up to 200 mph The fastest land animal is the Cheetah with an average speed of 70 mph. The fastest water based animal is the Sail Fish which is a member of the BillFish family, It can travel at speeds of 60 mph. However the fastest animal in the world is of the flying variety, and is a peregrine falcon which can exceed 200 mph when diving to catch a meal. Hope this helps Raver.
No it is not, but it is however the largest fish in the sea. It is still considered a shark even though its large size and therefor a fish. Whales are a completely different species and not considered a fish. Now the fastest shark is the short fin Mako, clocked at only 32 mph, but has been said to swim at speeds of over 60 mph. The fastest marine animal would be the Sailfish, but again in is only clocked at 68 mph. It could in fact go much faster than that.

The fastest water animal is the dolphin, but the fastest fish is the sail fish, not a sword fish.
The mako shark, although it can only do it for short distances, otherwise it would eat up most of the other fish in the ocean.
The fastest air animal would be Peregrine falcons, and they are the fastest animals on Earth. They fly at 90 mph and dive at 200 mph.
The peregrine falcon with speeds over 200 mph is the fastest animal.
