well Romeo is very love- sick if you like were as Tybalt shows no signs that he is capable to love. Rome really isn't interested in fighting but on the other hand Tybalt is. Tybalt is very possessive and Romeo isn't. It is important to remember though that that is the way that William Shakespeare wanted to portray the characters They are two separate world apart.

I hope this helped !!!

The fight between Romeo and Tybalt occurs in Act 3, Scene 1 of Shakespeare's play "Romeo and Juliet." Tybalt, Juliet's cousin, challenges Romeo to fight after he crashes the Capulet's party. Romeo refuses to fight, but Tybalt ends up killing Mercutio, Romeo's friend. In a fit of rage, Romeo then kills Tybalt in revenge.

The only foils between Mercutio and Tybalt were the long thin metal kind, several inches of which Tybalt shoved into Mercutio's chest.

Dramatic foils are never "between" characters. A dramatic foil is a character who is intended to highlight some aspect of a major character by means of contrast. In Act 1 Scene 5 Mercutio is a foil to Romeo, by being vivacious and talkative to contrast to Romeo's depression. Note that the expression is "foil to" not "foil between". Two characters cannot be foils to each other at the same time.
