This file format of a CD is dependent on the program you use to rip the data off the CD. Normally it is in the Mp3 format, but if you use Windows Media Player to rip the songs off it will be converted into .Wav format. - CascadeNeko
No! You must burn it into CD then put the CD into your PS2.
Not the same! A song in a commercial CD usually/ normally was stored in an AIFF format. If you imported/ converted this song into an AAC format, then there will be some quality lost. And, if you then export/ convert this song (from AAC format into AIFF), that lost part is never be regained; the later AIFF song is not the same with the first(original) one.
No. The CD File System is planned beforehand, then burned with the data all at once.
Most commercial CDs with music are in the AIFF file format. To check this, on a Mac, simply insert any commercially recorded CD into the computer, double click on the icon of the CD that appears on the desktop and you will see the song titles in order. Behind the title will be .AIFF. It is an acronym for "Audio Interchange File Format. It was developed by Apple computers in 1988. It is the file format used by most, if not all, recording studio for both music and spoken word recordings. It is called a "fat" file because it is so large. The same song in mp3 format will be 1/10th the size.
MP3 is an audio compression file format. Music CDs you purchase from the store come in a wav format. If you use a CD Ripper like Express Rip, you can then save these songs onto your computer in an mp3 file format. Then you can use an audio CD burning program, like Express Burn, to create a music CD with MP3 file formats. Notice that your original CD will only hold about 12-15 songs and your new mp3 CD will hold around 100 songs. That is one of the many advantages of using an mp3 format.
Good question. I don't know about the data format, but you can assume that many CD players physically can't read a higher density DVD disk in the first place.
Hi, You can use any audio software to convert mp3 to .wav format or you can download free audio format converters through internet. I just want to make one thing clear that by converting mp3 back to CD format you are not going to improve the audio quality instead it will just increase your file size bcoz CD format (.wav) files are 1411 kbps. And if you are converting this just to make it play in a CD player which doesn't support mp3 then it's fine. Rgds, Brijith
any cd can hold video data but it will not be in DVD format, it will be in VCD, MPEG, AVI etc. DVD format, which is VOD, has large file sizes.
convert the CD to A MP3 format and just drag the songs to the file!
