export it from imovie, and you can import to imovie from file
There is not a website that allows you to save iMovie as a file, since iMovie automatically saves as a file.
Click on the "Export" menu option in the "File" menu. After the export is done you will be able to import the file into iMovie
With iMovie or Final Cut
Yes, you can. Just email the file (if the size is small enough) and have the recipient download that file and open it up in their iMovie software. Otherwise, you need to share it.
A .rcproject file contains details of an editing project from iMovie. It contains pointers to the original videos. To reestablish the connection to the video file the .rcproject should be put into the iMovie Projects folder within the Movies folder. When iMovie is launched the videos from the project will be available for exporting as a playable movie file.
Honestly, the direct upload from iMovie is not the best thing to do. It is better to export the video file and upload it directly.
If it's opening a previous project, just hit the red X button at the corner of the window. It will pop up the selection window for you.
YouTube does not take iMovie files. You must share the file as a QuickTime file (do not do full quality - that will make it a .dv file).
Go to the top bar select file-import-videos and select your video
Click File and then Optimize Video
