that may differ from place to place. what will impact you the most, if you don't kill yourself or someone else, is that the effect it will have on your auto insurance will be with you for approximately 3 years and will be considerably higher than if it was just 10 mph over the limit.
first a HEAVY fine is given and you are punished with 3 points on your licence and may receive jail time too and if you get caught again you 100% sure will get your licence PERMENANTLY revoked, definite jail time (for reckless driving), and a larger fine. So i would NOT recommend EVER drivingover 100 MPH and even if you don't wreck you are twice as likely to wreck.
im Missouri its $10 per mph over the speed limit, and its $20 per mph in a double fine zone
Up to $1000 1 to 9 mph: $120 Fine and 1 point 10 to 19 mph $140 Fine and 2 points 20 to 29 mph $270.00 Fine and 2 points Exceeding speed limit of 65 mph by 20 to 39 mph $540 Fine and 5 points 30 to 39 mph $540 Fine and 5 Points 40 mph and over $1000 Fine and 5 Points Reckless Driving: $1000 Fine and 6 Points
If you are driving at 100 mph then you can go 100 miles in an hour, and I would go at least twice that speed to get out of your way.
Depending on your location, about $100.
If you are going 89 miles an hour in a 55 mph zone, what happens depends on where you are and if a cop catches you. If you are in Virginia and some other states, it is a big fine plus 90 days in jail. In other states it is about an $100 fine. Other places are in between.
The minimum penalty for speeding is 3 points on your licence and £100 fine. When your speed exceeds the limit by 45% or more (such as 51mph in a 30mph), you are at risk of losing your licence.
It would take 2.73 seconds to drive 100 feet at 25 mph
you are wrong about $100 for each mile over the limit. For 101 in a 65 the fine is $402. But you are not eligeble for traffic school and it is 2 points on your license. the fine increases once you hit 100 mph but it is nothing too substantial. all there is to worry about is wreckless driving charges
Yes, the threshold is 20 mph over.
I think it depends on what state you live in. I don't know where you are from but in the state I live in, you'd be LUCKY to just get a ticket and a fine, because the police CAN and WILL take you to jail for driving that many mph over the posted limit.
Since it is over 25 miles above the speed limit, it is up to the judge. Above the limit at 21-24 is $271.00 minimum.
Going 21 mph over on a highway in Indiana will get you a fine of $154.00. The ticket fine does increase based on other conditions at the time of speeding.
