For the 4.6 liter V8 engine in a 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis : The firing order is ( 1 - 3 - 7 - 2 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 8 ) It has the Coil On Plug ( C.O.P. ) ignition system with ( 8 ) individual coils The engine cylinder locations are numbered : firewall 4 - 8 3 - 7 2 - 6 1 - 5 front of vehicle
None, until the Monterey, which was only sold 2004-2007.
On a Mercury Monterey ( 2004 / 05 / 06 / 07 ) The brake fluid reservoir is in the engine compartment It is on the drivers side of the engine compartment near the firewall and the engine air filter housing
The firing order for a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am depends on the engine size. The 2.2L firing order is 1, 3, 4, 2. The firing order for the 3.4L is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.
Since the Monterey is the direct spin off of the 2003 Windstar, the information for the same question regarding the Windstar might be very applicable. (see below)
