1 3 4 2.
1800 cc's.
Errrr. On the engine block (big heavy bit on the bottom)
1-3-4-2
The firing order for all VW 4 cylinder engines is 1-3-4-2, with cylinder no.1 next to the camshaft pulley wheel.
go to halfords they'll do it for you,
fuel trim fault usually caused by air leak on inlet or maf faulty
The spark plug closest to the alternator belt is #1. Firing order should be 1-3-4-2.
Its in the fuel tank along side the fuel pump.I have to buy one as my 1800 is over fuelling
I have a 1800 vectra and the break light comes on when traveling then goes off, is this the brake shoes or pads wearing out.
1-2-3-4-5-6 with #1 being at the front of the engine on the rear bank (nearest the firewall). The rear bank is numbered 1-3-5 and the front is 2-4-6
I had this problem with mine, then the engine management light would come on. Turned out to be the crankshaft sensor. (Cambelt off job)
have a look under the air filter...sounds like a breather pipe There are some tubes that don't seem to be going anywhere. These are breathers. But be warned.... I have a 1600 vectra. This sudenly started running with a miss fire. I had blown the inlet valve on cylinder three. if by removeing the sparkies one at a time whilst the engine is running the same you will find a problem with the which ever cylinder does not change the way the engine runs. Go to a vauxhall dealership with service. Speak to a mechanic during lunch hour. You may well find that if you bung them a few quid for a pint they will tell you whats wrong and how to cure.
