white
blue
purple
brown
black.
some schools have more belts depending on their curriculum but those are rare.
jj is not a martial art you can just get a black belt in a year from like tae kwon do, karate, etc. it takes years of practice, dedication, and repetition. not only does your skill level in your jiu jitsu knowledge need to evolve but so does your character in order to advance in the belts. leave your ego at the door!
