Well, actually, flying squirrels don't just live in North and South Dakota, as some people say. They also live in Massachusetts, Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and many other states. Mostly, they live in the eastern and middle-eastern states. They love to live in trees. They are easy to find in meadows and forests.:) If you have anything to add to this, it would be great, but please don't delete this whole thing. It would be better to have a whole line of facts then just to have one short paragraph of just a few facts. The more facts there is, the more we get smarter by learning new things everyday and reading more stuff to add to your brain. Thanks,

A flying squirrel doesn't fly, it glides using skin flaps at its sides. A squirrel is also a rodent and birds are birds. A bird has hollow bones and muscles in their wings, flying squirrels have heavy bones and only skin flaps and no muscle in them.
