http://www.motorbikespecs.net/index.dyn?flag=2&model_id=5833984&make=Yamaha says 366 cc of SAE10W oil per fork leg Haynes manual specifies 486cc of SAE10W per fork leg for early (3DB1) models and 495 cc SAE10W per fork leg for later (3RN1 onward) models If you're looking for levels, you'll need to make a dipstick out of some wire. Haynes says the levels are 175mm for early(3DB1) models and 165.5mm for later(3RN1 onwards) models. From reading the manual I understand this level is measured with the top cap off the fork, and the chrome slider fully pushed down into the fork leg.. Then bend the wire over at the top (to stop it dropping inside the fork) and measure from the bend, down 175/165.5 mm down the wire, and mark the wire (flatten it with pliers) and cut it off a bit further down. Now use like a normal car dipstick.
