There isn't, you have to measure it directly or via a flow measuring device, or refer to the manufacturer's tables and calculate it from those.

How do you get the air out of a pump?

Bleed the air out while running your pump. Either through a specific bleed valve or by loosing the discharge pipe at the pump until only fluid runs out of it.

if the discharge of centrifugal pump is closed the pressure is built up in it and after some time it will burst up

Shutting the discharge of an air operated reciprocating pump will cause the pump to do what?

stall

Why concentric reducer is used in pump discharge?

The pump discharge reducer doesn't matter if it's concentric or eccentric. It's the pump SUCTION that needs to be an eccentric reducer that is always flat on top (F.O.T.) The eccentric reducer on the pump suction reduces pump cavatation (pump catching air).

With a centrifugal pump what will a blockage in the discharge or suction side do to the pump amps?

A blockage in the downstream side of the pump could make this pump work harder raising the amps as the pump now has to do more work to get through the line. An upstream blockage would make the pump spin more freely lowering the amps on the pump as it will not be doing any work.

How does a windmill pump water?

As the reciprocating pump operates through the reciprocation of the follower, it guides the suction and the compression of the water in the pipe. That's so when the rotary motion of the rotor blade is converted into the reciprocating motion, which delivers it to the reciprocating pump, the suction and discharge takes place.

Sump pump continously runs?

The sump pump could run continously for 4 different reasons:The switch is bad. The switch is what tells the pump to turn on and off, and it is possible the switch is stuck in the "on" position. The pump is undersized. If the pump is undersized the pump will not be able to keep up with the incoming water and it will continue to run.The pump discharge is restricted. The discharge pipe could be resticted, kinked, or blocked, so confirm there is flow at the end of the discharge. The pump is airbound. A pump gets airbound when the pump looses its prime and is caused by no weep hole on the discharge piping. A check valve has to be in use for this scenario to develop.

Why reciprocating pump is called positive displacement pump?

because they deliver a fixed quantity of the discharge irrespective of their rpm
