I bought one earlier this week (a '77 model) from a dealership and was instructed to use 16 oz. of 2 cycle marine oil per 6 gallons of ( ethanol free! ) gasoline. That ratio works out to be something in the neighborhood of 50:1 (you might want to check my math on that though just to be sure) I don't know what model yours is, if it is prior to 92 the ratio should be the same. If it is post 92, I would call a licensed dealer and ask ( it may still be the same...and it might not be a bad idea to do anyway just to verify the info you got from "some guy on the internet"). I hope I helped.
Johnson and Evinrude outboards manufactured prior to 1965 require a 24:1 ratio.
50:1 ratio ie. 100ml oil to 5l fuel
needed to know what is the proper fuel &oil mixture for a 60hp HJ out board
50:1
50 to 1 ratio
The fuel/oil ratio is 50:1.
50:1 ratio which is 1 pint to 6 gallon of fuel
A 1989 year model, 25 hp Johnson outboard, model J25ELCEB, will run well on a 50:1 fuel, to two cycle oil, ratio. This is roughly one pint of oil, to six gallons of fuel.
The fuel to oil ratio for a 1962 model Johnson outboard is 24:1.
my Johnson seahorse 70hp runs pretty nice at 50:1 fuel to oil ratio (1 litre oil to 50 litres fuel)
the fuel ratio for a 1977 Johnson 6hp is 50:1. The mix can be moved to 60:1 if you will be doing a lot of trolling.
Fuel ratio is 50:1
