The lymphatic system is closely associated with the cardiovascular system. The primary organs of the lymphatic system are the bone marrow and thymus gland and the secondary lymphatic organs include the lymph nodes and spleen.
These organs work together to transport excess tissue (interstitial) fluid to the blood, transport dietary fat, and help defend the body against disease causing agents.
A lymph vessel. They are similar in function to blood vessels. However the lymph is moved along the vessel by muscle contractions rather than by the heart pumping.
lymph capillary Lymph fluid is filtered in lymph nodes. Lymph nodes are along lymph vessels which that run along blood vessels. Lymph vessels draw in interstitial fluid (fluid between cells) and it them becomes lymph fluid. Lymph nodules are in connective tissue in place of high traffic and does not function as a filter because it's not along a lymph vessel.

Our cells are located in a sea of lymph, a pale fluid. The lymphatic vessels run parallel to the blood veins in the body. The vessels of the lymph system are filled with a fluid called lymph that is collected from the space between the cells in the body. The lymph fluids feed the cells of the body by transporting various nutrients such as salts, minerals, and proteins to every cell of the bodyRead more: What_do_lymph_vessels_do
Lymph is moved through the lymph vessels by surrounding muscles contracting and relaxing, which creates pressure changes that help propel the lymph forward. Additionally, one-way valves within the lymph vessels prevent the backflow of lymph, helping to maintain the flow.
The contraction of certain muscles squeezes the lymph vessels, pumping lymph throughout the system
