The cardiovascular system has 3 main functions:
1. Transportation of oxygen and nutrients toward and wastes away from cells of our body
2. Immunological protection of our body from foreign organisms and substances
3. Maintenance of homeostasis including the regulation of body temperature, blood pressure, electrolytes and water balance.
The cardiovascular system has three main functions:
Transportation- Of oxygen, nutrients and hormones to cells and removal of metabolic wastes such as carbon dioxide, heat and nitrogenous wastes.
Regulation- Of body temperature, fluid pH and water content of cells
Protection- By white blood cells, antibodies and complement proteins that circulate in blood and defend again foreign microbes and toxins. Also white blood cells clot when body is injured.
Cardiovascular system(Cardium means Heart and vascular mean vessels.) is one of the most important system of your body. It includes heart, blood vessels and blood which circulates through it. You have two parts of the system. One is greater circulation and second is lesser circulation. From left side of the heart, blood goes to entire body except lungs and is called greater circulation. From right side of the heart, blood goes to lungs and is called lesser circulation.Blood circulates from greater circulation to lesser circulation and from lesser circulation to greater circulation in series.Heart has got 4 chambers. For greater circulation, it has got left Atrium and left Ventricle. For lesser circulation, it has got right Atrium and right Ventricle. From greater circulation, it supply digested food material and oxygen to all cells in body and 30%of this blood goes to kidneys for excretion of waste material through arterial system. Body cells need digested food to survive, repair and form new cells.Body cells need oxygen for oxidation processes of metabolism through which it gets energy. From cells waste material like urea and creatinine and carbon dioxide is carried to the right side of heart via venous system. From right side of heart blood goes to lungs for purification through arterial system. It means in lungs carbon dioxide is given up and oxygen is taken up.From lungs, purified blood goes to left side of heart via venous system and this process continues. Both the Atria receive venous blood and there job is to deliver blood to respective Ventricles via valves. From both Ventricles blood goes to respective circulations via valves. So large systemic and pulmonary aorta branch and re-branch to form capillaries and capillaries unite to form veins.Arrangement is such a beautiful that each body cell gets food and oxygen and during return of blood, waste products and carbon dioxide is carried away.
The Cardiovascular system consists of the Heart, Arteries and Veins. The heart is the pump which drives the blood and the arteries and the veins are vessels which carry the blood around the body.
The Oxygenated purified blood is pumped from the left side of the heart to Arteries which carry the blood to the tissues and supply them with oxygen and nutrients. The deoxygenated blood and waste materials and toxins are then carried by vessels called veins to the Liver and Lungs to get detoxicated, purified and oxygenated and the purified blood is returned to the heart to be pumped out and recirculated and this cycle continues.
The cardiovascular system distributes nutrients, oxygen and heat through out the body and removes any waste products. It also distributes hormones that help regulate the body's metabolic processes and is an effective transport rout for immune cells to be transported to a site of infection.
to pumb blood through your body, and keep the heart beating. Team Edward!!!! <3
The circulatory system is the mechanism that delivers oxygen and nutrients to all cells of a multicellular organism.
it can help you digest well so she says
to pump blood to your body
The main function of blood flow in the cardiovascular system is the transport of materials and wastes to and from the body tissues. In addition, it carries hormones and immune materials throughout the body.
The cardiovascular system is another name for the circulatory system. It is the body system combining function of the heart, blood, and blood vessels to transport oxygen and nutrients to organs and tissues throughout the body and carry away waste products
cardiovascular system
The cardiovascular provides for all of the body's cells.
Organs that work together are called systems: digestive system, cardiovascular system for example.
they help your cardiovascular system and your nervous systems function

To transport nutrients and oxygen to the cells of the body.

The function that keeps your you alive.
Cardiovascular System
Yes, temp. regulation is a function of the Cardiovascular system but also the Integumentary system. The blood distributes heat created by muscle contraction to the rest of the body. Blood vessels in the skin dilate when body temperature rises and constrict when heat needs to be conserved. In this way, the integumentary system plays a key role in regulating body temperature.
To deliver the blood to all parts of the body.

The cardiovascular system is basically the heart and the blood vessels around the body. Another name is the circulatory system.
