The gray gene causes color changes with chestnut foals that carry the gray allele often darkening some hair as other hair turns white.

Dark bay, black or brown horses don't seen to have much of a pigment shift in the colored portion of their hair coat.

The gene which causes chestnut horses to become palomino or cremello?

The common term for the gene/allele that causes a genetically chestnut horse to be a palomino or cremello is Dilution. A palomino has one of these alleles, a cremello has two.

What is the gene in horses called that causes pallomeno to become cremello?

That would be the cream gene. The cream gene dilutes darker colors to lighter colors, I.E. Chestnut= palomino. To get a palomino the horse must receive one copy of the gene. To further change the palomino back into a Cremello, the horse needs two copies of the cream gene. (Double dilute.)

What factor causes the greatest change in gene pools?

Environmental factors cause the greatest change in gene pools. some of these factors are radiation, pollution, food supply, population, predators, and camouflage. Of these factors the most important to today's gene pool is radiation because it causes mutation in the chromosomes and can completely change an organism.

Why do some people have the same skin colour as their parent and others skin colour different from their parent?

it depends on your gene. there are dominant and recessive gene present. and for skin colour, bright colour are dominant over dark colour. if the both the parent are bright skin colour but the children is dark skin colour. there are possibilities where the recessive gene present in one or both parent. under certain circumstances the recessive gene will show its trait instead of the dominant gene. that's why some parent skin colour is different from the childrens' skin colour
