These fatty acids are called saturated fats. These are often some of the worst fats for the body.
Saturated hydrocarbon cannot bond with compounds anymore, where as unsaturated hydrocarbons can bond, as they contain double or triple bonds. When they bond, the double and triple bonds break and new separate single bonds are formed with hydrogens or any other external compounds.
Nitrogen is known to be a very stable and unreactive gas, because in its molecular form, N2, there is a very strong triple covalent bond between the two N atoms. A large amount of energy is require to overcome this triple covalent bond which has a high bond energy, thus making many reactions (which must involve the breaking of the triple bond) not energetically feasible. But nitrogen does participate in reactions such as in the formation of lithium nitride, Li3N. However, it is not the least reactive element - the least reactive are the noble gases which have the stable noble gas configuration in which the outer shell is fully filled with electrons and there is neither a tendency to lose nor gain electrons.

The simplest is acetylene C2H2.
The alkynes CnH2n-2 (with n= 2, 3, 4, etc.)Examples: ethyn C2H2, propyn C3H4
Yes, since hydrocarbons are compounds containing only carbon and hydrogen, and alkenes fit this description. More specifically, alkenes contain at least one C to C double bond (but no triple bonds) and their general formula is CnH2n+2
Hydrocarbon is a compound. Unsaturated hydrocarbon refers to the hydrocarbon containing at the least, a double or triple bond. Acetic acid is an example of a hydrocarbon.

Giant covalent substances like diamond tend not to dissolve in anything. Non polar molecular substances such as hydrocarbons are not attracted to water.

Hydrocarbons
Unsaturated when there is at least one double or triple bond between 2 carbon atoms.
