Ohio is bounded on the north by Lake Erie, and the south by the Ohio River which IS the southern boundary. East is Pennsylvania and West is Indiana; Michigan on the Northwest; and West Virginia and Kentucky meet pat of the southern border. Southeastern Ohio is part of the Appalachian Mountain Region.
