To make Northern Ireland part of the Republic of Ireland, not the United Kingdom. The majority of Ireland had separated in 1920, but there were a large number of Protestants living in the area around Belfast who strongly opposed the cessation.

One of their leaders had stated in an interview with a foreign newspaper that they weren't interested in democracy: "We call the shots. We don't really give a damn what they want."

The goal of the Ireland IRA is to offer front line support and protection for fighters in that area. It is known as the Irish Republican Army that was started in 1913.
