Are you for real? Would you like to be one? All people have an innate right to live their lives freely and in the manner that they choose for themselves.
Yes. Slaves were considered by most to be less than human essentially and were treated as such. They did not have rights and were expected to do what their "master" told them to do. Not doing what they were told could result in physical harm and sometimes death not to mention the emotional harm slaves had to endure as well.
hoes, shovels, large sticks, were even used to harm other white people
Slaves committed sabotage by breaking tools or equipment, feigning illness, working slowly, or purposefully making mistakes. They also practiced self-harm or ran away to resist their enslavement. Some slaves even organized revolts or uprisings to challenge the system.
because of fear ....the europeans raped lynched and castrated slaves to put fear in the others to make sure slaves see the consequences so that they didn't run or try to harm the slave master.
it could be animal leather or hard rough material leather.
Runaway slaves faced numerous dangers, including physical harm from slave catchers or bounty hunters, harsh weather conditions, lack of food and shelter, and the risk of being turned in by sympathetic slaves or free individuals. Additionally, slaves who were caught faced severe punishments, including whipping, branding, or even death.
The romans did more good than harm, because they gave us many things like public baths etc. On the other hand, they did do some harm by treating slaves badly. If you disagree with me, make an answer immediately
In early America, mostly. In the world, absolutely not. Our word "slave" comes from the world "slav," a European (white) people who were apparently taken as slaves a lot back in the day. Slaves could also be captured enemy soldiers of any nation, especially in the ancient world, when slavery was extremely common. Later on, kidnapping African tribesmen became the most profitable form of slavery.
Not all slaves were treated harshly. There were different degrees of slavery. The Gullah of the South East Coastal Areas were left on their own except at harvest time. Many of the slaves of Mississippi received extremely harsh treatment. The harsh treatment meant their work suffered, they worked at a much slower rate than the slaves along the east coast. They were much sicker. When freedom came, the slaves went due north. Those from the east coast were smarter than those from areas where slaves had been abused.
