Torque for valve cover bolts is 7 to 10 ft. Lbs . Tighten the bolts in a criss-cross pattern .

If you mean tightening the lug nuts, there is no set pattern. Choose one nut to snug down and continue in a star pattern until all the nuts are seated. Then go around a second time to torque them to spec. I've done this since I got my license decades ago and never lost a wheel.

Mike each manufacture has a specific pattern for tightening the head bolts. I suggest you purchase a repair manual at most auto parts stores to find the correct pattern and torque.
I have a 1.6 L motor, it was; torque to 21, then torque to between 51 and 54 lbs. completely loosen bolts then repeat tightening pattern above.
