Olive oil is genuinely more expensive but is a very good oil to cook with. Canola oil is good, but I would only cook it while frying fish, chicken, etc. Olive oil is something I would use to fry meat for spaghetti or fry eggplant & other veggies. It depends on how exquisite the meal is for olive oil to be better.
