I'm not sure what the world's largest Rottweiler weighed, sorry. But few are larger than 60kg, and if they are, they are generally fed too much. For a properly proportioned individual to weigh 70 or 80kg, they would have to be absolutely huge. But most if not all of the largest individuals inevitably get hip problems later in life because of their huge bulk.

so funny because we also live in Land O' Lakes, Florida and we still have an old / healthy Rottweiler that will be 16 years old on 3/1/2011. His DOB is 3/1/1995, he is a pure breed. Baron Madewell is our doggies name.

anyone know where we can get him recorded as the "oldest living rottweiler"? Mine lived to be 15. An aggressive tumor in his jaw was the determining factor in putting him to sleep. Other than that he was so healthy and walked great. It is rare for a rottweiler to live past 10 years. That is about the average. As far as recording your dog's age formally with Guiness Book of World records, you would need his birth certificate and probably annual vet records to assure it was the same dog. It would be great if you got a sample of his DNA when he was born and then they could take another sample and prove it was the same dog.

There isn't an exact record. Rottweilers general maximum height is 69cm although there may be bigger exceptions.
