The correct answer to your question will depend on the exact location of the light switches in particular if the location is subject to damp conditions, such as in a bathroom, shower room, kitchen or anywhere outside a building.

As always, if you are in doubt about what to do, the best advice anyone should give you is to call a licensed electrician to advise what work is needed.
Before you do any work yourself,
on electrical circuits, equipment or appliances,
always use a test meter to ensure the circuit is, in fact, de-energized.
IF YOU ARE NOT ALREADY SURE YOU CAN DO THIS JOB
SAFELY AND COMPETENTLY
REFER THIS WORK TO QUALIFIED PROFESSIONALS.
Under the NZ Building code light switches are to be placed level with door handles typically at 1000mm (AFFL) above the finished floor level. This is to aid persons with a loss of sight to find the switches easily.
I have always made them at least 4 feet from the floor.
The National Electrical Installation Standards (NEIS) recommends wall switches to be installed 48 inches (AFF) above the finished floor to the center of the device.
yes, as long as the wattage are almost the same which is similar to the same current
I do not even know that it is the light switch that is popping your circuit breaker! It may be the switch or something else. The light switch controls a circuit. As electricity passes through that circuit it is heating up a contact or a weak place in a wire. At a certain point that hot place in a connector or in a wire allows the electricity to jump out of the circuit and not go through the light. When that happens, the circuit breaker pops. You can turn off the circuit breaker. Then you can look at the connectors on your light switch. If one of them looks burned, You have solved the problem. You replace the light switch. Next comes the more difficult task of looking at the connectors for your lamp. If they are not easy to get to, you call an electrician.
mechanical to electrical to light energy
Remove the light sensor and place a switch between the red and black wires. The black wire is one leg of the "hot" pair and the load is connected to the red wire. This will now switch the black hot through the red wire that goes to the load.

It is very simple to install a dimmer switch in place of a regular light switch.
yes, as long as the wattage are almost the same which is similar to the same current

To replace the brake light switch on a 1995 GMC Sierra 1500, the steering wheel will have to be dismantled until the brake light switch is reached. The switch is changed by unplugging it and plugging in a new one. There are screws holding the switch in place.
The easiest way to remove an old brake light switch(also called stop light switch) is to break it off. Simply wedge a screwdriver between the switch and the metal bracket and twist. It will pop right out. The switch has 4 ledges that lock the stop-light switch into place. It's very difficult to remove without breaking it.
To replace the brake light switch on a Suzuki Forenza, locate it on the pedal shaft, release the wires that connect it, twist and then take out the old brake light switch and put a new switch in its place. The job can be done by any handy owner.
Codes do not differ due to your location. If you mean when you switch the country to New Zealand, I am afraid there is no place to enter secret codes on that page version.
If it is the main switch for the lights, 1, make sure the lights are off 2, push the light switch in and turn towards sidelights at the same time 3, pull the switch out when fitting the new switch just push into place.
The brake light switch is found behind the 1998 VW Beetles brake pedal. Reach it by removing the lower dash console to gain access to the nut holding the switch in place. Remove the nut then then the switch.
Just pull it out. It simply pops in place.
A switch is placed in an electrical circuit in order to place a gap when the switch is off, so the circuit is broken. When the switch is on, the circuit is complete and the electricity can flow round the circuit.
Called a multifunction switch, wrecking yard will probably be the cheapest.
